Yes! We can replace the rechargeable battery in your BMW diamond key or slot key. We keep them in stock at our Brisbane workshop.
BMW models manufactured prior to 2012, when the F series was released, often contain rechargeable batteries. These nifty batteries recharge whilst they are in the car. However, over time these batteries run out of puff. Your BMW remote locking buttons no longer will work until the battery is replaced.
BMW remote key styles with rechargeable batteries are both the bladed remote key with a diamond-shaped head, and the classic slot-style key (with or without prox features).
Changing the battery requires a new rechargeable battery to be soldered onto the electronic remote board inside the fob. We can do this and carry soldering equipment in our Brisbane mobile workshops.
